Cool tools, you say? 🔧

Hello there, {{name|Friend}}!

Welcome to a slightly different Email Tools TLDR.

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know that in these special monthly mails, we normally take one tool, put it through its paces, and give you the full story. You know, the good, the not-so-good, and pretty much everything in between.

Not today.

We've been collecting tools all year (the useful kind, and stuff we’re using ourselves because that’s why you’re here now, ain’t it?). And there are too many solid ones sitting in our notes to give each the full TLDR treatment before the year's out.

So, this time around, we’re doing something new (but hopefully helpful) as we share ten tools we think you’re going to use (and enjoy while doing so), as a little special edition.

And, as we get stuck in, get that bookmark button ready, because these are likely going to make the “to-be-used” list for the remainder of 2026.

Oh, and you can thank us later 😉

(PS: These are exclusive to our Email Advice in Your Inbox community. If you'd like to stop receiving these, simply hit this link or the preferences button to choose what you'd prefer to hear from us.)

Bouncer

Our longest-standing email list health tool on this list, and still one of the first things we recommend (like in Vol. 4).

Bouncer checks your list before you hit send, flagging invalid, risky, and spam-trap addresses so your sender reputation doesn't take the hit.

CrossLetter

Yes, we're biased on this one (we built it), but that doesn't make it any less useful.

CrossLetter is a discovery and cross-promotion platform built to help you find solid audience overlap instead of cold-pitching strangers for a swap.

Atrivial

Atrivial turns your content into a quick quiz or poll readers can answer straight from the email.

It's a clever way to learn what your readers actually care about (beyond opens and clicks), and a neat spot for a sponsor placement if you're monetising.

Stripo

We gave Stripo the full TLDR treatment back in Vol. 6, and it's stuck around on our radar since.

If your ESP's native builder feels like the ceiling on what you can design, this lets you build once, export, and do damn cool (interactive) stuff. Seriously!

Magnets

If you've been putting off building a lead magnet because you didn't want to wrestle with a landing page builder, Magnets solves that specific problem.

Build the page, capture the email, deliver the resource, and follow up automatically. All at once.

Earbox

Still in early beta, but worth the early mention.

Earbox turns your newsletter subscriptions into a daily audio briefing you can listen to instead of read, built for the readers who never open half their inbox but would happily listen on a walk.

BetterEmail.Online

Less a single tool, more a map of the whole email stack.

BetterEmail.Online catalogues everything from list validation to SMTP relays to DMARC monitoring, with independent notes on each, which is handy for when you know you need “something” but don't yet know what it's called.

Email Detective

A small Chrome extension that answers a question we get asked constantly: what's this brand actually sending through?

Open any email in Gmail, and it tells you the ESP, plus SPF, DKIM, and DMARC status.

Mailchecker

A free, no-frills kinda way to sense-check a send before it goes out.

Fire a test email to Mailchecker's generated address and get a spam score report back. Practically one more layer of confidence before a campaign hits real inboxes.

HeyNews

We covered HeyNews in Vol. 7, and it's earned its spot on this list twice over (for a reason).

It learns your voice from your own archive and drafts issues that actually sound like you…designed for all you efficiency-fundies.

(FYI: A few of the tools above are partners we've worked with over the year, and some links may be affiliate links which help support these emails and keep them free. Our take stays our own regardless, and we only feature things we've genuinely used or vetted ourselves.)

A few fresh finds, a couple of old friends, but hey, all worth a look.

We'll be back to our usual one-tool deep-dive for Vol. 9, but if any of the above solve a problem you've been trying to solve, don't wait for us to write the full review…go have a play.

Keep an eye on your inbox next week as we bring more email learning, tools and resources from across the email world, just for you.

Your friend in email,
