Something a little different this week.

We’re back with our monthly dose of advice from friends to our community!

We ended 2025 off with a phenomenal insight from Matt Thomas on making sense of your customer feedback. And boy, do we have some fun stuff lined up for the year ahead.

Our first Email Advice From A Friend for the year is, however, going to be a little….different.

If contribution or collaboration is on your radar, you’re going to want to read on, because this year is the year we want the voices in our community heard!

So, today, we have one question for you, {{name|friend}}:

Do you want to be featured in our emails?

Email Advice From A Friend & You?

To kick things off, we’re taking applications for guests in these emails!

If you’ve just joined us, or been around for a while, you’ll know that the guests we feature in these once-monthly special volumes are, well, exactly that.

Special.

These folks have offered fresh perspectives from across the digital space over the last 19 Volumes, and as we plan the rest of 2026, we’d like to know if you’d like to share your knowledge with our community.

The criteria are pretty simple:

You’re given a pretty clean slate to speak about something that helps email senders in some way, built around your area of expertise, be that:

  • Deliverability

  • Content creation

  • Building a solid offer

  • Using AI tools in email

  • Email design or automation

  • Selling ads or sponsorships in email

The list is, honestly, pretty endless (As long as it helps email senders, of course).

What’s in it for you?

Well, having the chance to work with us to get your expertise shared, your voice heard and getting the opportunity to contribute positively to our community.

We make a huge noise about these emails all over, and there are thousands of readers wanting to learn from people just like you.

And there’s a reason this is a free opportunity. No hard selling. No shameless plugging.

Value is what our audience demands.

If you have an idea for a topic that would add value to these emails and want to get your knowledge shared with our readers, then hit the button below and let’s see if we can make it happen.

Want to Cross-Promote your newsletter?

Speaking of adding value…

Something you’ll likely have seen in our emails, or wherever else you’re engaging with us, is that we’re BIG on promoting newsletters from amazing email senders.

We all know that people (mostly) trust the recommendations of others, so in the spirit of collaboration, we’re looking to grow our network of newsletters that would like to cross-promote!

Our community comprises some amazing email senders and newsletter operators, and we’re big on prioritising them, so here’s what we need you to do:

  1. If you’re on Beehiiv, we’ve got one spot open for our top 4 in Feb. If you want to be top 4 buddies, hit this link.

  2. If you’re keen to run some LinkedIn cross-promotion and get featured in our Newsletter of the Week, hit this link.

We’re also big on featuring newsletters in our weekly emails, and wherever we can spread the word about your work, but we’re big on quality over quantity.

If you’re a regular sender, add immense value and think cross-promotion with us makes sense, then let’s make it happen!

Want your tool, brand or product featured?

These emails are supported by the brands that advertise with us.

But we’re pretty serious about who we work with.

Regardless of how long you’ve been here, you’ll notice three things that are pretty darn important to us:

  1. These emails aren’t hard sells or loaded with tons of ads

  2. We are brand agnostic and prioritise our readers in every email

  3. We want everything we share to add value in some way to the email space

We have extremely strict criteria for working with us on the paid front, and value is always the name of the game.

But, this also means we keep our verified open rates over 45%, our click rates above 15% (yep, that’s right), and our audience trust remains.

With all of this in mind, if you’re a brand, have a software or tool, or feel your product helps email senders in some way, we’re open to working with you.

We’re in the process of vetting new brands and lining up stuff that matters to our audience, so if you’d like a space to share that, here’s what to do:

  1. Submit an application to be featured in an upcoming Volume of Email Tools TLDR by getting in touch here.

  2. Find out how to grab an advertising or brand promotion slot in an upcoming email by clicking here.

Again, we’re only considering brands that help email senders, marketers, creators and businesses in some way.

That’s our promise to everyone here.

Who to look out for

We have some amazing guests lined up already! Keen for a sneak peek at what’s to come in Email Advice From A Friend?

  • February features Robert Brandl, email expert and the mastermind behind EmailToolTester, who will be sharing insights to help you choose your next (best) email platform.

  • In March, we’re joined by wordsmith, Auroriel Hans from AuthorityScribe, sharing her knowledge on creating content that can’t be ignored.

  • And, in April, we’ve lined up email legend, Simon Harper from All About Email, who is cooking up something we KNOW you’re going to love.

And, who knows, you could have your name up in lights here, too, so make sure you apply to share your knowledge in an upcoming Volume too!

We hope you stick around, because this is just the start of a heap of amazing email knowledge we’re sharing.

And, who knows, maybe you’ll be making some new friends in the process, too 💌

One last thing…
